The course will work with both P. falciparum and P. knowlesi, in addition to the rodent model P. berghei . The practical work will teach participants fundamental technologies such as transfection, genotyping and phenotyping by flow cytometry and microscopy, and will also include cutting-edge technological approaches such as using next generation sequencing to simultaneously phenotype multiple strains in parallel.
The course is aimed at young researchers and new post-doc students, registration is free and travel bursaries are available. The course will be delivered by 3 researchers from the US and UK, in addition to guest speakers from Singapore.
